Privacy Policy
DeckDiag does not collect your data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Everything you enter or photograph stays on your device unless you choose to share it.
What the app keeps on your device
To do its job, DeckDiag saves the following in its private storage on your device. None of it is sent to the developer or to any server.

This data may be included in your device backups according to your own backup settings. Deleting the app deletes its data from the device.
Connecting to your equipment
- USB: when you connect a supported unit, DeckDiag reads the control messages it sends (button presses, fader and jog movement) and, on Mac, its USB model and firmware information. This stays on your device.
- Local network: DeckDiag can listen for DJ equipment announcing itself on your local network (PRO DJ LINK). Your device asks your permission first. DeckDiag only listens; it does not send anything to your equipment or over the internet.
Camera and photo library
- DeckDiag asks for the camera or photo library only when you tap Add photo, to document a fault or the condition of a unit.
- Only the photos you pick are copied into the app. DeckDiag does not browse or upload your library.
- When you save a summary image to Photos, your device asks permission to add that image.
Sharing
Reports, PDFs and summaries leave the app only when you share or copy them yourself, using the share sheet or clipboard. You choose the recipient, and that app’s own privacy terms then apply.
Third parties
DeckDiag contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software. It uses standard open-source components to show the share sheet, pick photos, make PDFs and store files locally; none of them sends data anywhere.
- App Store: purchases are handled by Apple. The developer never receives your payment details.
- TestFlight beta testers: Apple’s TestFlight service shares some information with the developer: your name and email address as a tester, crash reports, device model and OS version, and any feedback or screenshots you send. See Apple’s TestFlight terms for details.
Children
DeckDiag is a tool for DJs and equipment technicians and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. A change that affects your data would never apply to data you created before it without your consent.
